Stateside entertainer Pat Finn, who was seen in beloved television series including Friends, Seinfeld and The Middle, has succumbed at 60 years old.

The skilled improv artist died at home in LA recently following cancer treatment since 2022, as reported by reports.

"Pat Finn considered no one a stranger - solely future friends he didn't know yet," his loved ones stated in a announcement.

They added that he had "embraced life completely - with zest and passion".

An Extensive Television Career

His debut TV appearance was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he appeared as the brother of the main character.

He was also seen in a recurring role on Murphy Brown in the latter half of the 1990s.

He appeared as a party host named Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in 1998, depicting a social organizer known to delegate tedious tasks to his guests.

Throughout the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he had guest spots on a variety of hit series, such as:

  • "King of Queens"
  • Friends
  • "That '70s Show"
  • "House"

Finn was perhaps best known for his portrayal of Bill Norwood in The Middle, starring in eight series between 2011 and 2018.

His work in movies are It's Complicated and "Santa Paws 2".

Beyond the Screen

Beyond his on-screen roles, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and also taught at the University of Colorado, where he was a professor.

"Pat guided, supported, and advised many learners over the years and it's nearly impossible to find anyone anyplace who has anything negative to say about him," his relatives stated.

Offering condolences, colleague and actor Richard Kind noted there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, grounded individual you could encounter".

"Consistently upbeat, making those around him better and funnier. A great dad, a great guy," he shared on social media.

The actor is remembered by his wife Donna, three children, and his parents and siblings.
