Joshua Doubles Down on Provocative "Kill" Remarks Directed at Paul
Anthony Joshua stood by his much-discussed comments about being prepared to “kill” Jake Paul during a press event in Florida on midweek.
His words were first made on Tuesday when the boxer was questioned if he would show restraint against Paul, replying that “if I can kill you, I'll kill”.
Saturday's fight against the YouTuber-turned-boxer has sparked debate over the risk involved and the physical disparity between the two athletes.

Former titleholder The Gypsy King labeled Joshua a “classless loser” for his extreme rhetoric.
But Joshua, defended his position: “It's my job, we fight. We have a license that permits extreme violence.
“I understand many people don't grasp it but this is what my job is. I take pleasure in what I do. The outcome, happens - provided that my hand is raised, that's what's paramount, respectfully.”
He continued, “That's just the psychology we have to have as fighters. I don't know if other boxers think that way. Perhaps they're a bit more tame. The way my mind works. When you're in the squared circle, it's a dangerous thing. Everything can happen.”
“You hope your adversary exits the ring unharmed, but if they don't, you still have to go to bed knowing you just did your job. It was purely professional.”
Jake Paul's Incendiary Retort
Paul, a massive outsider in the heavyweight contest as a career lighter fighter, was equally fiery in his retort.
“This is a contemporary gladiator sport,” he said. “I'm ready. I want his hardest punches. I want there to be zero excuses when it's all said and done. Let's kill each other.”
AJ will face Paul, in his twenties, at Florida's arena in a bout many regard as a major mismatch, with some suggesting it should have been sanctioned as an non-professional fight.
The official fight will be fought over eight three-minute rounds using standard ten-ounce padded gloves, with a stipulated maximum weight for Joshua.

The surreal aspect of this fight has led to speculation about its legitimacy, including suggestions that he may be prohibited from knocking Paul out.
“There's nothing in the contract, AJ can confirm it. We're going to battle,” Paul insisted.
Joshua, wearing a expensive chain, humorously remarked, “The only thing in the agreement that got my attention was the money.”
